Stefan Rodman; was born in Hollywood, CA and raised in San Diego, CA. After graduating from High school, Stefan moved to Hawaii to start his musical career. He played in Waikiki on the Island of Oahu as a Solo Artist for three years. He then moved to Seattle, Washington, where he quickly joined a blues based group of musicians. He traveled the country playing various Blues Festivals, opening for some of the best blues greats in the country. He now resides in Morro Bay, CA on the California Central Coast, performing with his band “DEEP BLUE”. Stefan has been a professional musician for over forty-five years. He is a great vocalist, a great guitarist trained in the blues, jazz and country. Stefan can be found performing most nights at locals venues throughout the San Luis Obipso County.
Eddie Frawley; has been playing on the California Central Coast for over thirty years. Playing a variety of musical styles in duo and/or in full band combos, and everything in between. Mostly leaning towards his love of the blues since the age of thirteen. His main influences are Albert King, Mike Bloomfield, Rory Gallagher and Eric Clapton. Making the emotional connection between his heart, his guitar and the audience is his main goal and is what puts that traffic smile on his face.
Rick Young; began playing music at the age of nine. He studied many different instruments, but his first was the upright bass. He’s played with various groups, from the heaviest of progressive punk metal styles, to power blues rock, to old-school classic blues. He’s played in some of the most famous venues in the world, and had a great time doing it! In his years as the frontman in his own blues groups in Europe, he won the European version of a Grammy, and his band earned the title of “Best Blues Band in Germany”. After having done so many things and achieved so much, he decided to come back to California and look for a new outlet for his music. An entire decade passed, and now he has finally found the guys he’s been looking for. As the bassist for “Deep Blue” we get to see a side of Rick that we have never seen before. Rick’s new mission is to bring all of the experience he has to “Deep Blue” but wrapped in a whole new package. The amazing show that this group brings has rejuvenated and energized Rick on a level that, one must experience this for one’s self. No longer the frontman, but free to explore his bass playing roots. This has been a long time coming and now blues fans get to experience those roots as well!
Alberto Parra; originally from Salinas, CA and original member of the Epic/Atlantic recording group “Louie and the Lovers”. He retired from a successful business career in 2012 and moved to San Luis Obispo County to reunite with original “Louie and the Lovers” band members. The band’s latest CD Louie and the Lovers “Rise Again” was released on November 1, 2014. Away from the music business for thirty-eight years, he’s now back pursuing his passion for music and happy to be playing with ”Louie and the Lovers”, “Mud on the Tire” and “Deep Blue”. Playing the blues, with “Deep Blue” has opened a whole new experience, that brings a great opportunity for establishing himself as a blues player. His solid drumming and percussion style comes through in every performance.
